Currently I am donating to the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Nature Conservancy. I am open to suggestions as well if you know of a deserving fund. I would also be happy to answer questions or concerns you may have about nuclear power, green energy, and climate change and why I feel so strongly about it via PM. Please do not ask me about any political items that are not related to these topics :)

While I try to keep out of politics, I am an aspiring punk designer, and I feel an important part of punk is fighting for a better world.

As some of you know, I am only a part-time artist. By day I work as a nuclear engineer. I am a strong proponent of green energy, and I'm proud that I have a job that helps reduce green house emissions by facilitating correct data measurement in nuclear power plant facilities.

I'm also proud to be an American, but recently the US government has been scaring me with its disregard for data. This is not about party lines. I do not claim to know what is best for our country, I am neither a law maker nor a politician. But I do know that it is important to have accurate, scientific data to support whatever policy decisions are made.

The reprimands I would face if I falsified data on a report are significant. The quality assurance reprimands for even accidental, minor errors are significant. Our government should be held to the same standards. Silencing our scientists and cutting off funds for unbiased research is not the way to go.
